Sara is a Montreal based artist whose work explores the enmeshment of the materiality of the body and the environment. As a skilled performer, she has collaborated with numerous choreographers over the last 20 years, such as Sylvain Émard, James Viveiros, Maria Kefirova, Dominique Porte, Deborah Dunn, and Condition Pluriel amongst others. Her latest solo La théorie des ensembles investigates the concept of the border and takes the performer into various states between life and the dissolution of life within a body. It has been presented at the Musée d’art de Joliette and at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal in 2019. Sara also creates opportunities for diverse communities to explore and investigate the body through cultural mediation projects and collaborative creative processes. She is a teacher in the Contemporary Dance department of Concordia University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Education investigating the body and performance through an anthropological and feminist lens.
